This is the second article that I’ve recently read that suggests strongly what I’ve been preaching for a while…social media is changing advertising. It’s changing politics and news for that matter as well.
At the heart of this shift in thinking is the evolution from “push” or broadcast marketing to influence marketing. Recent changes with Facebook and the ubiquitious “like” button have created a universal platform to easily share with friends.
Facebook’s phenomenal growth is also helping. Other platforms are also growing too, especially foursquare. If you’re not leveraging the power of social media for your business, you’re missing a tremendous opportunity.
